A couple weeks ago in his Sun Column Blog, Chris Scott had a post titled personnel matters and noted in regards to WCAP’s Mike Flynn leaving that:
Watching matters at the station closely, as word on the street is that there could be another high-profile departure or two of key on-air personalities.
That was indeed confirmed this morning when Teddy and station owner Sam Poulten announced that Kim Saltmarch is leaving WCAP to work full-time for WGBH-Ch 2 Radio /TV.
Kim will work until July 5th and will assist in training a new news anchor and cohort for Teddy in the morning.

This seems to be a natural progression, where young talent gains experience and then moves on to bigger and more rewarding things. Ms. Saltmarsh has obviously earned that.
The station still has Teddy P., a constant in a changing business. It is to his credit that the prior additions to the team have progressed under his mentorship. The station owners may want to consider giving him a raise to ensure that they, and we, retain his services.
Joe:
I agree with your assessment of Teddy. Not only his mentoring capabilities but more important, he has developed into a very good analyst of the local political scene while maintaining his objectivity and independence.
His Wednesday conversations with the City Manager are must-listen radio.
