Acording to Shawn at Dracut Forum and confirmed by Warren Shaw himself, Warren is going forward with a lawsuit, being filed tomorrow, against Frank Zabierek of Nashua. Zabierek is the moderator of the Voyager Infosystems Forum “Dracut after Dark”
From Dracut Forum:
After being served a number of demand notices over the last few weeks, Zabierek failed to remove all the postings referring to Shaw and his family.
Shaw’s lawyer referred to Mass General Laws regarding Privacy, and other lawyers I have conferred with point to new harassment statutes that are being broken as well

Mixed feelings about this, we had two sites in town, one obsessed with Warren Shaw in a hateful, stalking way and the other obsessed with Shaw in a fawning way. I think I speak for many Dracut residents when I say I don’t care about W.S., I never meet him, I don’t listen to his radio show and I’d just prefer to not read about him, good, bad or indifferent.
The thing that will be missed about DAD was, if you ignored the Shaw stalking and strongly filtered the remainder, you could get news and opinions that you couldn’t find elsewhere.
Hopefully another blog will spring up to fill that void.

Dear Mr “Dracuteer”… I’m sorry you feel that way.. lol, its a great day for Dracut.
If you found any value in that cesspool, it was at the cost of those of us who were victimized by that guy for years. The fact that you feel that you can ignore the crap, and filter the remainder, does not mean that my kids and family should have to live with that stuff. I hope the guy pays big.
As to your insinuation of “fawning way” in terms of Shaw in the Dracut Forum, I guess that’s because you want to comment about something you admit you have no knowledge about.
On the forum, If you do a search of “Shaw,” you see about 12-15 items over the last year at least half of which have to do with the Salvation Army. The others mostly have to do with discussions we had on the radio program (of which I participate). If you do a similar search on Dracut after Dark, you find hundreds of postings that mention Shaw or his family.
Its my site.. I tend to write about things I know about. I’m at that radio show weekly, so I’m sorry if Warren gets mentioned. We tend to agree on a lot, disagree on some others (ha.. I was right regarding those resumes last week!). Rather than just have opinions with no fact, I go out and actually talk with those involved when I can. Frank just dumped innuendo and lies out there, sprinkled with a few facts to try to give himself respectability.
It failed. I hope he’s gone for good.
I of course welcome other bloggers to join the community as well, but also recommend that they be wary of any anonymous comments and their authors. If something said is of value, it can be said in the light of day.

I guess now we will never know what secrets go on in town. I sort of wish Mr. Shaw would have come up with a deal where he would not be mentioned. And we could still get inside info on the goings on in town. I like Warren and his ice cream. Even though his ice cream cones are large for small. I always get to much ice cream Warren. My wife goes in for me saves me a walk. Just my opinion. Thanks

Someone should tell Warren how internet forums work. Hope he loses. If you wanna be a big shot around town, some people probably won’t like you, and might even be mean! Life’s hard.

Just because someone is a public figure should YOU or anyone be allowed to Post accusations claiming they had sex with their minor daughters friend? I hope to god you do not condone such a sickening allegation nor support the right for someone to post that on a blog?
I find it sickening and appalling and would NEVER allow it.
So tell us is making that sort of charge or postings about someone family okay in your opinion? Would you who because you have posted on this public form and become a quai-public figure accept someone making these sorts of allegations against you? Even if we don’t know anything about you?

Let’s get serious Gerry and Shawn. Except for the crap written about other officials. The site did some good. Now you will have to depend on the Lowell Sun ( God help us) for inside news about our town. Maybe seeing Shawn is attending some meetings, he might be able to enlighten us with some inside info on the goings on without revealing his sourse. If i would be able to get out more, i would be happy to do it myself and give you or Shawn the info. I know we can see some meetings on local acess, but that won’t give you the inside workings. Thanks for letting me vent.

Bill.. you read the stuff that was on there. I had to constantly explain it to family, co-workers and security investigators. He wasn’t gonna stop until forced to.
The stuff he said about me was much worse than what he did to Warren, I just didn’t have the funds to go after him yet.
As to Dracut meetings, I do watch most of them and attend when I have a feeling something key is about to happen.. and then I report on what I see are the key issues. It is from my point of view, of course, I am one person.
Feel free to send me info via the contact form, or comment on the forum (you’ve always used your name). Roger had often done the same over the years. I just got tired of being attacked there as well.. he can always send info as he did in the past and I’ll post for him.
You’ve always been welcome. I often disagree with you, but at least you’re up front with who you are.

Thanks. I know it’s not easy. I believe you have to rise above that crap. As far as family they know what kind of a person Warren is, screw it just rise above it. I’m sorry for Warren like i said, i like the guy hopefully he knows it. If he finds loopholes in something fine, People don’t like it change the rules. Stop whining
