I received a nice note informing me that Councilor Vesna Nuon did indeed update his filings with the OCPF in the late afternoon on the day of my BLOG Posting.
with 13 Itemized / identified Contributors and clarifying his expenses.(See attached)
I also would like to point out to fellow blogger Lowell resident this line from a Glob Story involving Lt. Gov Murray in yesterday’s paper.
State Law bans cash donations of $50 or more, and cash donations of any amount must be itemized and the donors identified.

Fair enough, I never claimed to be an expert on all of the details of OCPF reporting. I am glad that the hypothetical loophole I introduced could not or was not abused. I was not alone in thinking that donations under $50 did not have to be disclosed as other commenters noted.
If you recall, I did say Mr. Nuon needed to get his paperwork in. Perhaps in my attempt to defend the man from the over-the-top accusations that accompanied the original issue, I played too much of a devil’s advocate on the nitty gritty of the OCPF issue.
The timing certainly suggests your blog posts on the matter may have influenced his decision to hurry along the mundate task of filing donation reports. I salute you for bringing the issue, however overblown I personally may have felt it was, to attention. I look forward to you providing evidence of collusion and vote-trading between Mayor Murphy and Councilor Nuon to “rub it in the faces” of the LPD.
Sometimes people are late on numerous things. Filing campaign reports, their taxes, credit card bills. While timeliness is a virtue, the lack of timeliness doesn’t mean the person is bad or thinks they are above the law. But then again, at this point, Mr. Nuon should apparently be used to situations where the charges don’t quite match the offense (or lack, thereof).
Good work Gerry. Keep the public officials honest, and I’ll try to do the same for the bloggers.
