John Golnick has either a lot of guts or a wicked sense of humor. He admits his past arrest, admits he hadn’t voted in many years but runs an ad themed Good Ideas vs Bad Ideas. I can see the ad being used against him if he makes it through the Primary or by one of his primary opponents. Good Idea: Getting involved and running for Office…Bad Idea: Not voting for 9 years because you’re frustrated….Good Idea: Going to a concert with your friends…Bad Idea being a 35-year-old driving under the influence and losing your license. John Golnick do we really want to follow his ideas????

I was characterized by my friend Warren Shaw on his show today as turning on Barry Finegold like a “Rabid Dog”. LOL very descriptive.

The fact is once I wrote on my Blog last April that I disagreed with Barry on his Sales Tax vote, he didn’t bother with me. At a fundraiser for Colleen Garry he walked past my wife because he “forgot her name” and said he didn’t recognize me with a new hair cut!

After I spent 5 hours holding his sign at the Dracut town election he never called to say Thanks nor to inform me of his fundraiser at Ohara’s until I called him. He has made it clear he doesn’t want people who disagree with him or who call him out on issues like the Sales Tax, Casino, brochure flap or the Winn funds around. As I predicted instead of manning up and returning the money his campaign responded to Deb Silverstein in the Lawrence Eagle Tribune with

His campaign manager Autumn Gould called Silverstein’s demand “a desperate act.”

“It is a desperate act by a desperate candidate who does not want to talk about the issues and lies about endorsements,” Gould said. “We are not going to participate in a race to the bottom.”

Autumn there is NO race to the bottom,you are already there and you have a lot of nerve questioning anyone about lying on endorsements when In Your Candidates Dracut Brochure that he had to turn back $1,000 raised, two people on the brochure, George Nangle and Marc Gosselin (a Dracut police Officer ) whose names appeared on Barry’s flyer both claimed it did so without their permission. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. WOW !

I have been very disappointed with Barry based on his behavior to me and my wife, his votes, his refusal to support the Lowell Home Rule Petition and the way his campaign has continuously broken the law.

I didn’t turn on Barry I just walked away from someone who couldn’t be bothered to remember my wife’s name or listen to reasonable objections to some of his stances. I am not a yes man.

How do you hear a Dracut businessman tell you his business went down 25% when the Sales Tax went up and still ask Dracut residence to support you? Jerry Flynn’s group was counted on by Barry for an endorsement and they bailed on him, so will many others.

Warren is correct that it appeared that the Sun was laying in wait for COX on the Social Club vote. Everyone should remember that many people are not “Wilde” about either selectman running for re-election next time and their is already a declared candidate. My guess is every vote on any liquor related issue or police related issue by Bob will be closely watched as well has every move John Zimini makes which is always scrutinized.

Finally, if someone post I am the only one talking about an issue after calling me to say they are looking into the issue and I upset you by saying you called, sorry but I didn’t realize that it was a hush hush secret matter you were working on and I should not say anything. Next time you don’t want me to say you called , don’t call and don’t post I am the only one talking about it if you are working on it…..
