Did you hear Pat McCarthy on WCAP this morning? I had no idea what point he was trying to make about the City Council last night? Is it that they should disregard an employee’s right to privacy and discuss their suspension or firing in a public setting without them there? Maybe Maurice Cohn should have done that when he kicked Pat off WCAP.How do you compare the hiring of a Data Analysis or the replacing of the Inspection Service Manager with the Lowell Police bus ride that resulted in one officer losing his job and the City under previous Managers and Police Superintendent paying penalty and back wages to other officers?

This guy is just one of those annoying know it alls. Although with qualifications like that maybe he should be a BLOGGER.

If this windbag wasn’t a friend of Sam Poulten would he be on as a regular contributor? WCAP replaced almost their entire crew who were not “broadcast professionals” yet somehow this guy has convinced Sam he deserves to give us a WAKE UP CALL twice a week. If they really want to give people a WAKE UP call rotate the person and include people like Lynne Lupien , Kad Barma, Cliff Krieger , Mr. Mill City or Tom Duggan. Once a week with Pat is more than enough for anyone.

I find it amusing that the Mayor of Lawrence can get taken to task (maybe rightfully so) by Lowell based officials but not one of them will go after Kevin Murphy for his morally/ethically challenged choices. Slick Willy was elected by the people of Lawrence for both jobs and like Kevin Murphy is following the letter of the Law. If the will of the people and the letter of the Law is good enough for Captain Conflict why isn’t it the same for Steamboat Willy? First Tom terrific went after him threatening to attach an amendment forcing him to resign a seat and yesterday Sen. Pangy took his shots…Tough guys it seems except if it’s one of their own.

Why is it Weather people get to be wrong so often and no one calls for them to be fired? Lowell Schools could have been open today if not for the Great Blizzard Warnings. Hope all the milk and bread you stocked up on doesn’t go to waste.

Why can’t some Councilors stop pandering to the people and actually keep an open mind when it comes to creating a new position. If the new Post can save money isn’t it worth the investment? In the private Sector you sometimes have to spend money to make money. How coincidental that the two councilors who are automatically against the position are not employed in the private sector. I like then both but come on try to keep an open mind and listen to the presentation and stop playing for votes.

Who the heck cares if Campy does or doesn’t meet with Chris Scott or says Hi to Lynne ? Isn’t there more important things to discuss then who brings baked goods to who and who stops by to show off their Prom Gown? and whether the Editor cares to see you or tries like so many people to avoid you?
