We all Win…

Tomorrow we get to elect a new United States Senator from the great state of Massachusetts . No matter if you’re a hard-core Martha Coakley supporter or a Scott Brown supporter you have the great freedom to go to your polling booth and cast your ballot.

It is one of the greatest gifts and freedoms we have here in the peoples Republic, that the average citizen has the right to choose who they want to represent them in their city, their state and their country. Sadly it is one that so many take for granted.

The primary for this seat had one of the lowest turnouts ever, ten percent of those eligible to vote turned out to select who would represent each party in this election. Many had written this race off as the same old same old and that this state would just elect any Democrat who was nominated.  Something changed along the way. Scott Brown energized the people who wanted someone different or who didn’t want the Health Care Bill. Democrats and their supporters energized their people afraid that the progress they feel has been made by the Democratic majority was in danger.

No matter what the reason you go to the polls tomorrow, the fact you are going makes us all winners.  People in what some say will be record numbers will exercise the freedom that so many others have sacrificed their life for. The freedom to select who you want to represent you. So no matter who wins tomorrow the fact that so many who sometimes don’t exercise  this great freedom will tomorrow makes us all winners.
